The weeks are flying by at the minute, aren’t they?  We’ve been extra busy this week with entering Eat Great Meat into the Best Online Business category for the Farm Shop and Deli awards, so if you have a minute spare, please head over to our Facebook Page and follow the link to vote for us!

This week we’ve been enjoying steak from Joe Dalton’s Aston Hall Farm.  Although The Husband owns a farm shop; we very rarely get the chance to eat a steak!  And with it being my birthday this week (21st, in case you were wondering) I, of course, insisted on having the fillet.  The steaks were perfect – tender, tasty and melt in your mouth. And with the nights setting in and comfort food calling, we kept it simple and traditional with chips and greens.

However, I’m having serious food envy about Simon Fedyk’s fillet recipe that he made this week with our beef. How good does this look?! Beef Fillet with Smoking Marrowbone, Beet & Gherkin Salad.  If you fancy following giving this a try at home, the link to the recipe is here.
