You can choose between 2 fantastic grass fed British breeds, the Angus and Jersey. The Jersey beef has been supplied by John Naylor who farms at Hobson Farm, Buxton, Near Bakewell. The Jersey breed is well known for the high butterfat content of the milk and are mainly used for dairy purposes. However the beef from the Jersey cattle have a distinctive creamy flavour and the fat is more yellow than other breeds. Our Angus beef has been supplied by Mr Thornton who farms at Field End Farm, Honley, near Huddersfield and is well known for its exceptional eating quality due to the high marbling of the meat. We have dry-aged the beef of the hind quarter for over 35 days on the bone at our family abattoir and is now ready to be butchered.
