This recipe for Butter basted pork with almond sauce is sure to wow your tastebuds, easy and quick for an evening meal.
This sauce will liven up your pork loin chops or chicken breast fillets.
Ingredients:
Pork loin joint or steaks
Butter 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
For the sauce:
Double Cream 200ml
Butter 1 tbsp
Tomato paste 1 tsp
Garlic 2 cloves, minced
Ginger ½ inch cube, minced
Almond flour 1 ½ tbsp
Almond flakes, toasted to decorate
Here is how to make this recipe:
Put your loin joint or steaks onto a baking tray. Mix butter, thyme, and salt in a dish. Spread over the meat and rub in. Roast the meat in the oven until cooked. Take out of the tray to rest whilst you make your sauce.
To make the almond sauce, melt butter in the tray you cooked your meat in, add the flour and make a roux, then add the garlic and ginger and lightly cook. Add the cream, tomato paste and stir until thickened.
Once you have plated the meat, pour the sauce over it. Lightly toast some flaked almonds and sprinkle over. Serve with your choice of vegetables.
