Well, unfortunately I didn’t hit it big on a pub quiz this week so instead of sunning myself in the Caribbean, here’s your next instalment of the Eat Great Meat blog.
It’s been a busy week at EGM HQ, we had the great news that we are through to the Deliciously Yorkshire finals for the second year running. This year we’ve been nominated for our Pork Chop in the best fresh meat category and our Steak Pie is in the running for the best ready to eat category. Fingers crossed we’ll come away triumphant and of course I’ll keep you posted.
The Husband has been busy again. This week’s project was buying a pie press in order to be organised for Christmas and to be able to offer a greater range of products. One thing I never thought I’d be doing on a Thursday night was trying to lift a pie press, it weighed a ton! I totally earned the steak dinner The Husband rustled up for me that evening. Although I have told him that I’m not pressing pies under any circumstance. I’ve had many a crazy Christmas courtesy of meat, but I’ll save that story for another blog.
Right, I’m off to have a hot radox bath. Think my back will thank me for it.
